Are you ready to lead, inspire, and be a driving force in one of the most powerful student-led organizations in the country? The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) is looking for bold, committed, and visionary leaders to serve on our 2025–2026 Board of Directors and Executive Board. This is your opportunity to shape the future of NBLSA and leave a lasting impact on the Black legal community across the nation.

Serving on the Board means more than holding a title — it means advancing justice, building community, and uplifting the next generation of Black lawyers. We are looking for applicants who are passionate about NBLSA’s mission, driven by service, and ready to collaborate with a team of dynamic student leaders to take our organization to new heights.
BOD and Executive Board Applications are Due May 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM with the exception of Secretary, which is due April 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
Whether you’ve led at the chapter or regional level, or this is your first time stepping into leadership, we encourage you to apply. Let’s build the future of Black law students and the legal profession — together.
We are looking for leaders who are:
-
Mission-Aligned: You understand NBLSA’s purpose and are committed to the advocacy, empowerment, and advancement of Black law students.
-
Innovative and Strategic: You bring fresh ideas, clear vision, and practical execution to the table.
-
Team-Oriented: You work well in diverse teams, value communication, and can lead with both compassion and accountability.
-
Resilient and Reliable: You can manage your time, remain dedicated through challenges, and follow through on your commitments
-
Grounded in Service: You believe in lifting as you climb and using your platform to create meaningful change.
Applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted to schedule an interview.
⏰ Important Note: NBLSA will observe a final exam shutdown period from April 20 to May 15, 2025. No interviews will be scheduled during this time to respect the academic obligations of candidates and the BOD. Selected candidates will be contacted before or after the shutdown window on a rolling basis.
