Greetings, SRBLSA Family!

It is a pleasure and great honor to serve as 2015-2016 Regional Chair of the Sophisticated Southern Region of the National Black Law Students Association. I, along with the regional executive board, am excited to serve our membership. Our main goal this year is to build upon the solid foundation of SRBLSA’s past leadership and create a lasting legacy for future generations to follow through our members, community outreach, academic excellence, advocacy, and career success.

This year’s theme is Ascending to New Heights: From Leadership to Legacy. Our programming will focus on enhancing the academic and professional development of our members. SRBLSA members will also be given the opportunity to write-on to SRBLSA’s Law Journal, the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice. The Annual SRBLSA Job Fair and Chapter Leadership Retreat will be held in Orlando, FL, and we will also host five academic retreats throughout the region in cities from Charleston, SC, to Atlanta, GA. We will provide our members with ample opportunities to give back during our Regional Community Service Weekend, our Academic Retreats, the MLK National Day of Service, and many more events.

The Annual SRBLSA Regional Convention will take place on January 20-24, 2016 in Durham, NC. This year, we look forward to revitalizing our regional programming, leaving a lasting impact in our communities, empowering our membership to excel to new heights, and increasing the number of participants in our annual convention.

Join us as we Ascend to New Heights!

In SRBLSA Service and Love,

Hilaire Armstrong
