Greetings, MABLSA Family!

I write to you from the “City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.” It is both an honor and privilege to serve as the 2015-2016 Mid-Atlantic Chair of NBLSA. I ran for this position to serve you, represent you, and inspire you to personally and professionally excel. The MABLSA Executive Board and I are hard at work to see those goals to fruition.

This year’s theme for MABLSA is “We are ONE: One Bond, One Vision, One Community.” We believe that if we function as a unit, we can leave a bigger imprint on the world because there is power in numbers.

We acknowledge and commend all of our local chapters for the remarkable work done throughout the years. In order to strengthen our MABLSA family, it is our hope that you continue to serve the community and legal profession. We have assembled programs to meet your specific needs and allow you to develop holistically through events, such as the MABLSA Leadership Retreat, Job Fair, and Alumni mixers.

Additionally, we will support each BLSA chapters’ initiatives to help you strengthen your voice locally and nationally. For those of you who want to challenge yourselves physically, you can do so at our 2nd Annual BLSA Bowl. We will also host pre-law camps to support and guide pre-law students in pursuing a legal career. Most importantly, we’ve created opportunities for you to bond through our ongoing community service initiatives.

The members of the MABLSA Executive Board and I are excited to meet more of our MABLSA family. I know that like many before us, you all will contribute to making MABLSA bigger and stronger. We also greatly anticipate when we all reunite in Philadelphia on February 3-7, 2016 for our 48th Annual Regional Convention to celebrate everything that we’ve accomplished throughout the year.

Please feel free to contact any of us via email as we welcome and encourage any questions, comments, or suggestions that you have. I wish you all the best of luck in all of your endeavors, and remember, We are One!

In MABLSA Service and Love,

Dominique Moore
