Lendon Alexander

Lendon Alexander serves as the 2016-2017 National Director of Communications for National Black Law Students Association (“NBLSA”). In this role, he coordinates the internal and external communication of information for NBLSA.

Lendon is a native of Columbus, Georgia. Lendon completed his undergraduate study at the University of Georgia. At the University of Georgia, Lendon was initiated into the Zeta Pi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he served stints as Vice-President, Director of Membership Intake, and Treasurer. At the University of Georgia, Lendon served as the Vice-President of the Black Student Union and Vice-President of the NAACP chapter. Lendon received a number of awards and accolades at the University of Georgia including the HOPE Scholarship, NAACP Legal Defense Fund Herbert Lehman Academic Scholarship, Larry Leroy Golden Memorial Scholarship, Keith J. Nesbitt National Pan-Hellenic Council Memorial Scholarship, and being named Mr. Diversity 2012 at the University of Georgia. In 2012, he received degrees in Political Science, from the School of Public and International Affairs, and Mass Media Arts, from the Grady College of Journalism. Currently, Lendon is a third-year student at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. where he has concentrated his studies in the fields of intellectual property, labor, and corporate law.

During the school year, Lendon divides his time between being a full time student, working at a non-governmental organization, the Center for Responsible Enterprise and Trade (CREATe), and researching as a student assistant with a think-tank, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. His summer experiences include working in the chambers of a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia and serving as a legal extern at the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C.

Lendon strives to be a someone that people feel they can rely on to accomplish anything. He is also a member of Holsey Chapel C.M.E. Church located in Columbus, GA and continually thanks and credits God for continuing to guide him and placing his blessing on his life.
