Garrett Auzenne serves as the 2016-2017 National Director of Corporate Relations for National Black Law Students Association (“NBLSA”). In this role, he solicits funding from institutional sponsors (e.g., law firms, government employers, corporations, etc.) in the form of sponsorships and tax-deductible gifts to NBLSA. This position works with the National Treasurer to develop a realistic fundraising target. This role works with the National Chair and National Director of Public Relations to prepare and finalize sponsorship solicitation packets; helps Regional Directors of Corporate Relations develop Regional solicitation strategies; and maintains frequent communication with the Regional Directors of Corporate Relations.
Mr. Auzenne is a native of Houston, Texas. He graduated from Morehouse College, where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Economics. While at Morehouse College, Mr. Auzenne served as Student Trustee to the Board of Trustees and Executive Board Member of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. . Upon graduation, he worked at Google. Currently a 2018 student at University of Texas School of Law, where he is a member of the Texas Journal of Law and Technology Society. He is also the 2016 – 2017 Thurgood Marshall Legal Society Banquet Chair. Prior to joining NBLSA’s national board, he served as a delegate to the RMBLSA Regional convention.
In addition to his organizational leadership, Mr. Auzenne has clerked for the Federal Communications Commission in the Office of Commissioner Clyburn.
Mr. Auzenne enjoys playing basketball and and is interested in community development.
